Thanks to the RadialZ too, this concept was done 90% of the time in full screen mode with no other menus distracting me… lots of fun!
A bit of the backgorund story for this creature:
Asterions are ancient parasitic beings shaped like living stars. They seek out hosts not to consume them, but to merge with them, slowly anchoring themselves around the skull and replacing the natural form of the head with their own alien anatomy.
Over time, the organism grows new eyes along its extremities, allowing it to see from multiple directions at once. The host and parasite eventually become indistinguishable... a silent crown of flesh and consciousness carried by a single body.

The wireframe. Most of the base mesh was created with ZRemesher but I used the Retopo brush in ZBrush to create clean more simplified meshes for the accessories of the jacket.
